Every now and again, especialy when iv been playing a game for a while, I will look at my desktop and the folders i have on it will dissapear -.-

This caused a bit of panic at first however, when I click on the Desktop Folder in the Places tab it all the folders that had vanished from my desktop are still there, but now in the desktop folder.

While the folders tend to dissapear, the one shortcut to Spore on my desktop (Ran through wine) stays present.


Anyone know the problem?

have u tried pressing F5 while the desktop is shown??

if that doesn't work

try opening up a file browser and going to the following location

/home/[username]/Desktop/

and go to the view menu and tick show hidden files. are the ones missing having a . at the start? if so rename and remove the dot.
